Leng Keng, Leng Keng...the bell of the ice cream cart

When did you last hear the bell of the ice cream cart?

๐Ÿ‘‰When I was growing up in Nha Trang, Viet Nam; my area consisted of 10 small and adjacent houses. Each house had a few children of the same age, so after returning from school, we played games, or gathered to buy food to enjoy. One of the must-haves for my childhood memories is ice cream๐Ÿ’—. Every time we heard the sound of Leng Keng, all the kids were running after the ice cream cart like we were afraid that the ice cream vendor would disappear. There were times when I couldn't afford to buy, but I begged my parents to pay for me anyway.

๐Ÿ‘‰Ice cream at that time was only ice, didn't smell milky, added food colors, and wasn't as tasty as today's ice cream made with quality ingredients. But in my childhood memories, this is the best ice cream I've ever had๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ‘‰Life changes with economic development and more and more buildings come up. In my living area, the houses are all rebuilt with many storeys. The children have now grown up and have had their own lives being busy with their families. How long since I listened to Leng Keng?

๐Ÿ‘‰If you have a chance to walk through a school door or a street that has not been urbanized, you can still hear Leng Keng with childhood food. Nothing has changed, except that we have grown up and distanced ourselves from the value of childhood.

How about you? What does your childhood sound like?๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“
